Is is possible to use a changing max depth?

Hi all, i have a large cnc machine made for surfboards and a small bit that cant go down to a set max depth.

Is there any cam out there that i can set it so that it cuts to the bottom of the geometry at a curve instead of a straight line?
Heres a pic showing what i want to do:

The green line is kinda what im talking about, can i get the max depth to change? If so, what CAM is it?

Many CAM programs can program to follow a 3D tool path. You will have to be able to define that tool path.

What CAM program are you using now?

I am not familiar with either of those CAD/CAM programs. You might need to direct your questions to those groups directly.

You should be able to draw lines (and other geometry) and define the endpoints of those lines in X, Y, and Z coordinates. You would need to draw these lines with the Z depth you actually want to cut.

Then I assume you have the option to choose a 3D tool path in your program. Once you choose the 3D tool path you have created, the code needed to machine that path should be output.

Ok, but what CAm has that feature?

There are too many to name. Are you reading the thread? Poke around in BobCAD
