Most high end CAM software includes some type of verify function. Verify is only a tool to use to HELP avoid mistakes. Nothing is 100% fool-proof. If the programmer does not know what mistakes to look for, the software won't do much good. And for a programmer to know what to look for usually means have a good deal of machinist experience first. So, it is not only a matter of paying for software, you need to pay for experience and training of your employees. This is where most companies take huge shortcuts. They have the idea that saving $10,000.00 per year in salary or training for an employee is a good idea. What they do not take into account is the loss in efficiency and added cost of maintenance and repairs.
