Rob If you are moving 2D elements only you move from X1 Y1 to X2 Y2 positions. If you are moving are 3D elements, or the group contains a 3D element, the movement is X1 Y1 Z1 to X2 Y2 Z2 2D is defined as geometry/2D toolpath in flatland or on currently active workplane. 3D is defined as polylines/3D splines/3D toolpath or geometry in an inactive plane. AlphaCAM will automatically set 2D/3D mode for you but you can force to behave in either way by using the command in the EDIT menu. Andy

| Have you looked through the tutorials at Licom? http://www.licom.com/licom/Training/PDFTutorials.cfm I've never seen any third party books on any commercial woodworking software. The market is way too small.

| Most posts supplied with the software are useless. You can create your own post processors but you are unlikely to be successful if you do not know how to do this. Probably best to get a quote from the vendor.

| Licom Systems Ltd write, sell and support the AlphaCAM Software product range worldwide which includes AlphaCAM AlphaDOOR AlphaWINDOOR AlphaSTAIR and AlphaCIM. Licom Systems UK is also responsible for Cabinet Vision Sales and Support throughout Europe. Licom Systems is now owned by Planit Holdings (and has been for about 4 years) The group of companies consists of Planit, Cabinet Vision, Licom Systems, Radan, Pathtrace, HRS and others So the website has changes a little so that you can access AlphaCAM via Planit main site. If in doubt just put www.alphacam.com in your "favourites" Andy NC
