CAM Software decision

I am sure this question has been asked before, but I need a very cheap CAM software. I have built a CNC router in my garage. Now I need software To run it. I currently have a free software but it will only allow 2d cutting. I have access to solid works software and would like a software that works well with that platform. Any insight would be helpful.

I started looking for the same recently, as I am in the process of starting my own build (got most electronics, gotta build the thing now). I figured it's also also the time to start to look for software.

One free recommendation I saw was HeeksCNC (Cad/Cam) HeeksCAD and HeeksCNC

Going to download it tonight, but since I have a lot to learn, I couldn't make any recommendations on it yet.

But, since it's free, worth a try.
