Has anyone tried it yet? If so, what do you think of it?

I did a tutorial last night, it works fine. I've played a little with Inventor, and the other free one that's no longer available, Pro Desktop? To me they are all very similar.

I disagree, Inventor seems more polished to me (and it should, considering cost). Don't get me wrong, I like this Alibre software...but I like Inventor more. Could just be that I am more used to Inventor. Not giving up on Alibre yet though - I am going to try and model my next project exclusively in it. We will see how that goes...

Like I said, I've only used it a little - very little.

One thing that seemed more difficult was rotating it the way I wanted.

Also, is there a constraint toolbar? I couldn't find it, although the constraints are in the sketch (I think) menu.

I guess the one thing that everyone will agree on is that it is pretty good for the price.

I have been having some problems registering for it here at work. It seems that if you have demo'd their software in the past, they have your name on their records as a customer, and therefore not eligible for this promotion. This has been addressed on their forum, and hopefully a solution is forthcoming.

Yeah, that was driving me nuts too. It is sooo easy in Inventer...

I got my notice that they met the required number of people to sign up, but not how to get my copy of it.. can anybody help me with this?

Join their support forum and ask there if you were one of the first 100,000. Other wise, just go to the site and download it.

I went to there site & D/L'ed it .. when i registered my E-mail, it said i was, and provided me with the registration number...

Easy, huh? should have thought of it before.. LOL

i had probs on the d/l also i was trying till about 2 then had things to do i retried at about 11 p.m. and it came across no prob i figured server was just busy as far as if i like ???? much different then rhino the tutourial went quick and easy seemed ok just gonna take time to "learn" the new stuff i guess for free it was worth it

Yeah, these types of programs are a LOT different than Rhino or Autocad type stuff. You have to go about things a whole different way.
