SolidCAM is integrated with Inventor. We use SolidCAM (admittedly with SolidWorks) and are very pleased with it.

    Hi Ant17
What machine are you going to use or what machine do you have? I ue Part Modeler with Edgecam on a 5 Axis Monoblock. It does the job and is much cheaper than Hypermill. Mastercam and Visi cam are also good to look at. Good luck it's a hard decision to make..

    Smile MasterCam

I use MasterCam X3 for 3-5 axis programming, the problem you will run into is can you get a Post Processor set up with the machine you will be using it on. The salesmen will tell you anything to get the sale, then will tell you that it will cost you 5 to 6 thousand more to get a post processor to be able to use the G code the Cam software will produce. What ever system you decide on, make sure that you get the post processer CONFIGURED FOR YOUR MACHINE CONTROL THAT YOU HAVE to do a DEMO before you spend the money for the
    software. Hope this helps

    Hi Ant,

See attachment for what Edgecam2011R1 supports.

Post processors don't cost too much from Edgecam (not sure about your reseller) but try and get them to throw in an onsite day for the engineer to come in and test out your post on your parts.
