    Prototrak conversational format?

    Any Prototrak conversational code experts out there?
    There are some mystries concerning the prototrak code I'd like to understand. Here are the first few lines of a conversational file:

    PN100 G20;
    G130 X0.0000 Y0.0000;
    G130 Z0.0000 XM0.0000 XN0.0000 YM0.0000 YN0.0000 ST=00000;
    N1 G101 XB0.425A YB0A ZR0.1A ZB0.1A XE0.425A YE0.0A ZE0.1A TC0 F5.0 FZ5.0 D0 CR0.0000 T1;
    N2 G101 XB0.425A YB0A ZR0.1A ZB0.1A XE0.425A YE0.0A ZE-0.5A TC0 F5.0 FZ5.0 D0 CR0.0000 T1;
    N3 G103 XB0.0000I YB0.0000I ZR-0.5A ZB-0.5A XE-0.425A YE0.0A ZE-0.5A XC0.0A YC0.0A ZC-0.5A TC0 F20.0 FZ5.0 D0.0000 CR0.0000 T1;

    The [PN100] is the Program number.
    The [G20] is for American, non-metric format.
    What's The 2 Lines beginning with [G130] for?

    ProtoTrak gcodes

    1st I would try website
    http://www.southwesternindustries.co...esources.shtml

    also they do not have on web site but there are some Cad Cam manuals for like 2 axis mills Prototrak Plus, Prototrak AGE, sometimes sending a email and asking if they may have a Programming CadCam manual for your machine you might be able to get a free manual or buy one.

    Code unique to lathe LX2 / LX3
    G130 (Drill cycle with Pecking)
    G137 (Threading Event)
    G138 (Custom Threading Event)

    on a different machine Gcode maybe different

    on 2 axis Prototrak mill usually
    G100 (Rapid move / position drill)
    G101 (Mill event / straight motion)
    G102 (Arc event clockwise)
    G103 (Arc event counter clock wise)
    G104 (Bolt hole event)
    G105 (Repeat event)
    G106 (Rectangular pocket event)
    G107 (Rectangular frame event)
    G108 (Circular pocket)
    G109 (Circular frame)

    attached is zip file with jpg images from LX2 lathe and Plus mill manuals, Remember different models may use different Gcode, I would ask the factory if they have the CadCam interface manual for your particular model

    Thanks for the information provided.

    I have the manuals and the G-codes aren't in there so I called prototrak...the The G-codes are propriatary for the 3 axis commands and unavailable.

    regards,
    Ken
