Hi, I'm looking for a software to optimize the layout of my factory but I really don't know If there's anyone that does this. Does anyone know them? I don't know it this category is the best to post this question... sorry about that. |

| Hi, It is a software - FactoryFlow, alone or part of e-Factory package. I do not remember exactly, but I think is Unigraphics product. If you check on net you will find out it. Unfortunately, if I remember correctly (again) there is not demo available, at least for download from net, but maybe they will send a demo CD if you ask. You must ask/try. Anyway I have the feeling that it is very expensive. I did not work with this (I am involved in Lean Management - Lean Manufacturing) but I have seen the product working. Also, I had the opportunity few years ago when I have working with a big multinational company here in Romania to work with Pro Model. It is a software which is modeling the process in 3 D, and you can setup the flow, layout, kanban, etc. It is a great production process simulator, so you can use it for flow/layout definition. I believe that this is available for download as a demo. |
