Hi ! Have some a suggestion for good base software for CNC-Routing I've looked at the following program ArtCAM (different varieties) http://www.artcam.com Vectric (Cut3d, VCarve, PhotoVCarve, Aspire. Maybe even a combination of these) http://www.vectric.com FreeMill, Virtual Gibbs, Mastercam, BOBCAT-CAM MeshCAM, VisualMill, Dolphin, TurboCADCAM, DeskCNC SheetCAM, OneCNC, SprutCam, CamBam, EdgeCAM etc ... It is a jungle Some people seem to be * High learning threshold * For simple * For complex * Too expensive * Etc.. I am looking for a program that is relatively kompetet. Will running the CNC machine has a much more advanced hobbyist, near the company's view (Want to be quickly productive) Is mainly working with wood. So it costs a penny, I agree. Cost about $ 500 - $ 1000 is OK What is your advice to give? What you start with? Should I buy "big" as the direct or upgrade? Someone who knows someone who made an inventory / list of programs and its pros and cons Thanks in advance TEW |

| Agree with Gene, for the $1000 you can get VcarvePro and Cut3D. I use VcarvePro and very happy with it. Can't go wrong with any software that Vectric sells. Great software with a low learning curve and great features. IMO nobody does it better than Vectric even if you triple (or more) the price. Last edited by lovebugjunkie; 04-29-2010 at 09:14 AM. |
