What X & Y dimensions can your Mill handle?

I have a selection of GCode files that range from the Harley Davidson "Bar & Shield" Logo through to nature scenes for Art Plaques...

That's more than enough to handle any cut-files I have...

If I can get these attached here's the HD Logo as a DXF so you can scale it to what ever size you want... I had it as 3 seperate DXF files that can be imported into 1 drawing...

The DXF's originally came out of Corel Draw so I hope that the export is compatible with your soft ware...

If you want the actual GCode let me know...

Frank

I imported your HD3 file into Mach2 and it looked fine, I then generated the GCode, but I only get the bottom of the shield, as a newbie to all this stuff what am I doing wrong?

Any chance of posting the files as GCode?

Steve

Buy me a Beer?

Are you using the demo of Mach2, which is limited to only 1000 lines of code?

Yep, forgot about that, suprises me that that sheild outline could take over 1000 lines.

Thanks for the reply

Its because of so many short lines generated from the curves and segmented straight lines.

Here try this one now, i redrew over that you had and corrected with arcs.

Joe, thanks for that, I take it I'll have to convert the dwg file to dxf as Mach2 doesn't want to import the dwg.

I will get the hang of this

It's Turkey Season up here and I just got in from the bush...

I'll attach the GCode to this message... News Flash!!! I screwed-up the original attachment(s)...

The zip file has both DXF & GCode for an engraved Shield & an Embossed version... the Files are organized in a odd fashion but for a good reason...

HD1.xxx is a rectangular 4-point file that shows the outer most limits that the Maching will take place within...

HD2.xxx is a section of code that probaly is the top half, while...

HD3.xxx is the lower or remaining potion... this logo/job was done while I was working out bugs with my first mill, and splitting the DXF & Gcode was for debugging... If you can import all the DXF's in Whatever you can make one Cut file and scale to an appropriate size...

Sorry for the confusion... But the Zip file is your best bet...
