Need Help!- Cutter comp in Vericut 7.0

Hello !

I need simulate cutter compensation with G41/G42 with vericut 7.0

In Vericut 6 is like this:

(first put the value in the tool manager, add cutter comp)

project=>
processing options=>
g-code=>
settings, and set the "process cutter comp" dropdown to on-default to zero.

But in Vericut 7.0 .....................???????

Did you get anywhere with using cutter comp on Vericut 7?

I can't find how to get G41/G42 to work. Can you quickly point me in the right direction?

Easy.......................

Tool manager
In a tool to add cutter compesations, right button, "Add cutter compesation"

apears: Ø1......................this is for diferents correctors to be activate with "D" (one tool can take more than one corrector)

and in the right column input the radio of the tool.

Hi,
you have 2 methods
- the old one with the table
- the new one with the tool manager
and in the both cases, you need to setup the properties of your "setup".
click on "setup", go to the bottom ( ), G-code tab and them select the option that you need for the 'process cutter comp' .

I don't understand for what reasons but Compensation mode is alwais set to OFF

Hello,

In the V7, the method is the same than V6.
In V7, you need to click on the setup line in the project three.
The menu appear on the bottom.
After, like V6, you have G-code setting and process cutter-comp option.
If you select "on-default to zero", you need to define a radius compensation in the tool manager.
If you select "on-default to full radius", VERICUT read take the radius of the tool for the compensation. Small problem : the sketcher tool : VERICUT takes the biggest one.
After, the other possibility, if you use a new V7 controller, is the "ProcessCutterComp" macro that you can find in the event of your controller.
In V7, it's directly "g-codes processing" windows ( icon G1).
