Unigraphics Extrude / sketcher

Hello,

I am trying to extrude the face of a solid but UG keeps putting me into the sketcher. I always use this method while making electrodes but a revision change has made this impossible.

Does anyone know how to work around this?

Use offset face. Otherwise, UG will send you into sketcher because there are no valid sketch curves in the workarea.

I am using the pick menu to select face but it still puts me in the sketcher. I am wondering if it's an error with my environment files. I will try it on someone elses tube here. Currently we have no other UG users in the building due to the "goings-on".

What version of NX are you using?

Set your selection intent to use Face Edges so the edges are selected and not the face.

I was told to pick edge curve in the command but I can't seem to do that. I have found that if I set the selection menu and pick the element "before" hitting the extrude button works. I still struggle with extruding a face without going into the sketcher.
