Thread: how do i put an example title block on a drawing?

    how do i put an example title block on a drawing?

    i was given an example title block that is "custom" that i need to put on every drawing. i can open it as a normal drawing then i try to save it as a layout and it wont work out right. if you can help that would be great.

    Are you using layouts and viewports? We place the title block in the layouts, then add vieports in the title block, and add dimensions in paperspace in the layouts.

    What do you mean it won't work out right? Can you be more specific?

    i'm fairly new at this but ill try. i need to put our company name and part number onto the drawing in a title block. i have an already existing template but it wasn't drawn on this computer. i'm trying to find a way to somehow either copy and paste it or make it a template so i can use it over and over with many drawings. does that help a little?

    Make it a block, and use Attributes to allow you to enter data into the title block.
