Best all around raster to Vector converter?

I need to convert a true type font (.ttf) so I can engrave some large letters in a certain font. I currently only have Autocad and MasterCam, so I'm thinking that what I have, all i can really do is trace over the letters (not fun, since there is a decent amount of text, and detail to it. What would you guys recommend to do?

You did not say which version of MasterCam. I did not check release history, but with X3 you can put text in whatever TrueType fonts are installed on your computer. See example:

Thank you both. Didn't realize that Mcam had exactly what I needed. Now just trying to figure out how I can make my "wood sticks" font look decent for my buddies dump truck. He's a mountain man sort a guy, Grizzly Adams sorta.
