Take a look at Inkscape. Inkscape. Draw Freely. It's a very powerful vector drawing program hat includes bitmap conversion. And it's FREE!
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for software that will easily turn images saved as bitmap, jpeg, gif, and tiff files into vector graphic drawings that can be edited in Autocad. I'm looking for something affordable but does a decent job of keeping lines straight, curves smooth, and filters out the amount of "noise" around the edges of an image.
