    Problem with Boxford A3HSRi2 CNC

    Hey,

Im having a problem with getting a Boxford A3HSRi2 CNC to be detected by the software which is provided with the machine. The drawing package is working but when you go to machine it, it reads the error "comport not config". i have been messing around with it for a while but cant figure out what to do with it. I have re-install the software again but no joy. any help i would appreciated thanks

Ok. Their help system is configured into the software.. Have you looked for the Com Port configuration there??? I dont have the software, but you may have to set the com port settings on the computer side also, and I can help with that if you need...

Search the help for "Serial communications" or "DNC" or something like that...

So, 2 places to configure it.. Inside the software and also the hardware settings for the serial port.

sorry, i know this is an old thread.
    but....
when i get this error i do this -

Settings/current user/administrator (i just click ok there is no password)

settings/preferences/communications/machine port configuration - pick a different port.

on a different tack - my motor has just stopped working in this machine - anyone know of a good cheep replacement?
