my name is Garrett i am an expirenced 3D solids editor among other things. I recently purchased bobcad/cam as well, for lack of funding to purchase mastercam x4. i have been messing around in this program for enough time to know it lack all the inportant features and user friendly interface to manipulate more complex geometries. i would strongly reccommend looking into another program for your solid editing ventures. i just recieved a free unrestricted version of Autodesk Inventor 2011 Autodesk Inventor 3D Mechanical Design and Product Simulation for Digital Prototyping I have used an older version of this program for the last 5 years now and i have not found anything out there that works better for me. solidworks is a very good program as well. however i dont know if you can get a free unrestricted version of their new software sent to your house as quickly as Autodesk can. this program comes complete with free tutorials and the motion tweening for assembly drawings is phenominal.
