Seeking advice

I don't know if this is the right spot for my question, but I have an idea for a product, my own design I have drawn up some blueprints and going to start building it soon, but I was wondering if anyone knows about patients I'm not really sure where to start looking. Any advice would be great,

Hi, some good resources are wikipedia and the us patent office web sites.

Just keep in mind that a lot of countries don't care about patents and you need serious money to defend them. From what I can tell, people patent things for 2 reasons now
- Make sure they can offer a product without someone else claiming it is their IP.
- Apply for lots of patents on every blue painted rock in hopes to use it to make money from a legal defense fun.

Hi,

I think Harry is right..You should be aware of the patents such that no one else can come and pose any case of fraud against you..Please check for the patents first and then start your manufacturing process.
And to search for the patents you can use Google Patent search or About.com..I am sure you will get there the required information.
