I have been lucky enough in my town to get back to work. The new shop that I was hired at for design / programming has NO Quality Department. The owner over heard me talking to some guys about some of the proccess that could be put into place, and now gave me the entire job of creating the new department. This is a small fab shop, Laser, Punch, Weld, Powdercoating etc. My question is there any online resources for printing out any standards or processes, so I can come up with a complete written plan, and steps. He wants me to give him a complete outline of implementing this into his company. While I have a basic understanding of some simple steps to start, ie First Article inspection and such, I am feeling a little overwhelmed of having the task of creating the entire department from scratch and steps involved. Any help getting in the right direction is greatly needed, and appreceated.
