    Skills Test

Need a copy of a machining skills test for prospective employees. Anyone have a copy they are willing to share by fax or e-mail. Even a link to an online test would be helpfull.

I recommend having a written test of up to 50 questions and a practical test to demonstrate use of scale, caliper, micrometer, and some type of hand tools for assembly, such as hex wrenches or combination wrenches.

A simple photograph of the prospective's toolbox with some drawers open will reveal volumes.

not always...... most of the places i have worked for as a machinist required you not to bring in any inspection equipment due to it not being controlled. so i never got into the whole collection of tools prospect.
