Hey Guys I have a small part time machine shop in my home garage located in New England. I have a CNC bridgeport, manual lathe, surface grinder, welders and the misc shop stuff.I mainly machine prototype and custom parts. I'm trying to decide if I should try and come up with a houly shop rate or just charge per part. Thanks for any information Mike |

| Calculate your overhead...Rent/Heat/Electric/ Cutting tools etc and then guess what You want to make per hour ($15 an hour/ $20, etc) Than add them up and multiply them by the time you estimate for the job... Then you have a quote you can submit to the customer and don't forget to include delivery lead time. Thanks Brent CNC Machine Shop at Cohagan Engineering |
