I can haz 3D printer too?

Let us start yet another one. So many people posting theirs that after so long of seeing them on youtube and thinking how cool they are I am going to break down and do it. To start off with this I am going with the Prusa. I have made up a list of everything I should need. Been selling off some stuff on the internet to raise some funds to help the build that way my wife doesn't grouch about spending the money lol.

My list brings the total right now to around $700. Let me know your thoughts and anything I am currently forgetting(except spools of material) or anything better I should get instead or a better place to get it.

    Component Price
Linear Prusa V2 Kit with Z stabilizers $195.95
J-Head Mk IV-B Hot End with Install Kit $78.95
Mk1 Heatbed with Install Kit $47.95
    Shipping from Makerfarm $35.60
    100k Thermistor $2.75
    RAMPS Pre-Assembled Kit Complete-shipped $207.35
    12V 30A 350W power supply $35.99
    NEMA17 motors qty5 $43.45
    Threaded Rod- Metric 8.8 M8 @ 1 Meter per piece x6 $25.74
    Smooth Rod- O1 drill rod M8 @ 3 Feet per piece x3 $15.39

That all sounds very familiar, good choices.
You can solder a little 1/4w resistor and LED to the heatbed instead of the surface mounts
that will let you know when power is on.
You can get the heatbed a little cheaper elsewhere but it's a push when you factor shipping costs.
Make sure you get the double connector for the z on the RAMPS and don't forget
the SDRamps if you want to run from a MicroSD card.

The ebay motors are 6 wire so they can be used as unipolar or bipolar series if you tape off
and don't use the center taps (yellow and white wires)
For the RAMPS with pololu drivers hook up
    red -2B
    blue -2A
    green -1A
    black -1B

    For the hotend?
I used 1/4 inch kapton tape a number of places like on the hotend for holding the thermistor in place
and on the heated bed for the same thing.
1/4 inch wraps nicely around the j-head.
Also used some 1/2 inch fiberglass tape with PTFE Mcmaster #76495A52 to keep the heat in around the j-head,
about 3-4 wraps then a couple more wraps of kapton cause the fiberglass tape isn't the stickiest stuff.
Works great at getting it to and staying at temp.
