    My Reprap Build

Hey guys! Jus tjoining the Reprap club

just finished building a Prusa Mendel and having some fun printing parts

what a blast and totally different than making something on the CNC

I will probably be working on making some sort of Repstrap too with parts I can mill on the CNC machine to make it easier to make a 3D printer - but that's jsut an idea so far

anyway check out my pictures and a few videos here

Great progress and good looking machine.

I'm running a mendel design on PLA at a slower rate then you... but your print looks good.

The only suggestion I have is to lengthen the retract distance to reduce blobing when the machine pauses. I think I'm running about a 3mm retract distance where the large gear turns backwards about a third of a revolution.

Your site has perhaps the best photograph of a completed RepRap i have seen to date.
I am getting the bug, but I can't do anything with those stl files in bobcad as far as gleaning dimensions, so I have chosen to roll my own, being far too CHEEP CHEEP CHEAP to buy a kit.
I am leaning towards using Roman's lini stepper drivers as I have 3 of them already, and Thanks to him and James the source code to make more.
If anything I said is inaccurate, please set the record straight, Thank you.

We're not in business to make parts, we're in business to make money, making parts is just how we do that.

    Thanks Joe!

I consider myself pretty cheap too, so i understand

I looked into what they call a "repstrap" machine - which is making a reprap like printer without the printed parts - and I still look into that from time to time - but there's the Ultimaker and makerbot 3d printers that are kinda like this - if you wanted something to look at
