Well, My wife and I were tired of the Walmart "bedroom in a box" that we had bought for our daughter a couple of years ago so we decided it was time for something new. She is 5 and says she wants a big bed and dresser for all those clothes she has (boy they learn to shop young). Just so happens I got a bunch of shorts pcs of wood in the shop so.....

    Enjoy the pics.

7 years later and now my son wanted some furniture for his room. Started with the dresser and the bed to soon follow.

The inlay on the drawer fronts was cnc'd.

    Red oak with walnut accents.

Beautiful work Dan, I like the Walnut accents!

Your son must be pretty rapt with such fine furniture. What's the finish used?

    cheers, Ian

Thank you for the compliments. I used 1 coat of sanding sealer and 2 coats of conversion varnish - semi gloss.

A follow up to the dresser for my son last year. I finished off the bedroom set with a new bed and toy box as well. Hope you like the pictures.
