Default need help about tool diameter and toolpath..

Hi, i saw this topic last week and i read all #1366 threads on this topic. But i think i've missed something. I built my cnc router with aluminium body, 3.5Nm 3 stepper motors, 27000 RPM spindle.. now i'm trying to cut some puzzles, but i have some problems.. first one is tool diameter and slot width. I know that when tool is in the center route of toolpath it gives us much wider as tool diameter, and it makes thinner edges same as tool diameter. I want to ask you, is there any software that can creates toolpaths that will follow same drawing but it wont center the tool, just follows the paths with the edge of the tool ? how can you solve this issue guyz by creating offsets ?

    Regards,

    Serhan

What CAM program are you using? After entering the router bit specifications, the CAM program should take into account the router bit diameter and offset the tool path accordingly.

Learning about tooling and all their abilities is one of the hardest parts about cnc machining. no tool will do it all and if your buying tools just because they are cheap then that can be an issue. as for your question about feed and speed. take a look at Onsrud router bit sight and read all you can. I'm not say buy their bits just look at their tool area and read about cutting.

Chiploads | Feeds and Speeds | Metal | Plastic | Composite | | LMT Onsrud

as you try more bits you will find cutting gets easyer.
