    Default Regenrative Blower Vacuum Tables

    Hi,
I am not sure exactly what too look for when buying a regenerative blower for my cnc vacuum table currently I have 5x10 table and think this 7.5(http://cgi.ebay.com/Ametek-7-5-Hp-Re...QQcmdZViewItem) blower is it good enough, or if it is wrong what are the stats I should look for?

It probably depends on how you plan on using it. IF you want to suck through an MDF spoilboard, I'm guessing it's too small. Shopbot sells a 16.9HP regenerative blower for their machines, and big commercial machines use 25-50HP pumps, for the same size table you're using. If you're cutting mostly large parts you can probably get away with less, but with lots of smaller nested parts you'll probably need more. I think the stats you want to look for is how much cfm at a how many inches of Hg. Shopbots is 3" Hg at 140cfm Youmight want to poke around there site and forum for more info.

    Default Plans

Well I plan on cutting at least 12 pieces out of a 4x8. I was originally thinking of having the vacuum system as a closed system(jigboard under) can I have it as a open system(pieces cut out with no jig under)? What kind of power do you guys recommend
