Smile Scroll saw patterns to CNC

Any one know of an easy way to convert scroll saw patterns (usually images with lines/curves) to G-code? I have TurboCad, SheetCam, and Cut veiwer, and Mach3, but am just not sure where to start. Thanks...

I think turbocad has a way of rastering a image. I use R2V to make a dxf out of it then bring it into my cad/cam program and clean it up. I think you can do all that in Turbocad then use mach3 to create the gcode with lazycam.
Attached is a scrollsaw jewerly box I converted to a coffee table and cut out on my router.

What format are the original scroll patterns in? Are they on paper or in some kind of graphic format (bmp, jpg, gif, eps...). If they are on paper what size are the pages?

I've cut several scroll saw patterns with my cnc router. They're pretty easy if you have them as an image file. The easiest method is using Mechcam. Mach2 has a bitmap utility which will cut images to various depths depending on greyscale value.

    Default File type

Files are JPEG/BMP's, the version of turboCad I have won't load image files.

I found a freeware converter at downloads.com that works so so. Not great but for the price (FREE) it's an easy way to get started. It is called wintopo
