Oh my goodness. I mean "duh" for me not knowing what CNC meant when I joined the community and was going to gracefully bow out. I really appreciate anyone's help and didn't think anyone took it wrong.
I greatly apologize to anyone it offended.

Okay, well duh,What kind of comments are these ?I now understand this site. I am a beginner woodcrafter
The cnczone community has always been very helpful to those in need.
Hack asked for dxf files for deer plaques .
The response he received was typical example of how helpful the cnczone's
members are. You ask for files to posted in another format ?
spk was trying to get you information that only that you could provide.
This is the response you give in return. Not sure what file type you are looking for.
I guess that is for putting into some kind of machine or something? I can't open the files.
No one here has any idea of what kind of file format you are looking for,
or what program YOU want to open it with.
Nobody here Can help you till YOU provide this information.
Having a BETTER ATTITUDE would help make people to WANT to
put in the time and effort to help YOU.
Last thought, I think you owe a somebody here a very sincere apologue !!!

I am a beginner. Looking for a regular text file that I could print as a template.
I converted one of these dxf files into a different file format.
Look at the txt file you will notice that this not really what you want.
The other file is bitmap and can be opened and resized in paint.
Trying to resize bitmaps is not the ideal way to do what you are trying to accomplish.
Bitmaps are just pixels. They are very limited when trying to scale them up.
File formats like dxf ,svg are based on vectors. Simply put it is just lines
Each line is defined by a starting point and end point coordinates
Therefor they are less limited when it comes to resizing
and easily editable. A vector based drawing program would make things
a lot easier for you than working with bitmaps. There is quite a few free vector programs
on the internet. Maybe someone here has a good direction to send you in that department.
I do apologue for being so harsh on you
