    Post Table Cleanup

I am just wondering what people use to clean their tables off between cuts. My vacuum system is pretty strong but there's still a good amount of sawdust left after cutting a sheet of plywood. I mostly cut 4x8 sheets and used compressed air to clean up, but it leaves for a lot a mess when I am cutting a lot for a job. I rather my vacuum system clean up the mess for me.

If your dust collection is leaving alot of mess, it doesnt sound like it is working very well. My dust collection on my JoesCNC2006 left a tiny amount of sawdust.

You should try making a dust show sort of like this. With the vacuum concentrated around the cutter itself.

Sounds like a great tip, however my machine is much too large for that. We run a Holzher Lynx 7511 with a 5'x10' table. I'm looking for a larger scale solution. Like this one: http://www.holzher.com/assets/Kendall2012/Lynx/Lynx.jpg

What does the size of the table have to do with collecting the dust around the cutter? If you concentrate your cleanup at the cutter as the cutter works there will be way less cleaup overall.

How big is your dust collector? You typically need at least a 10HP collector for those types of machines.
The easiest way to pick up the majority of the dust is to onion skin everything. The second pass will remove most of the dust, if the machine has a good dust hood. But you'll increase cycle times quite a bit.

An expensive option is the Aerotech system.
