Best way of machine cutting direct printed Dibond?
Hello!
I work at a printing and sign making company in the UK and we have just purchased an AXYZ 6010 ATC router.
Not sure if this is the right section to be posting this question, but anyway worth a shot.
We have a Vutek qs3220 printer and have always had our dibond precut to size then we would direct print and then laminate.
But since we got the AXYZ machine last we week thought we would try printing direct to the dibond, then laminating and then cutting it to size on the cutter after.
This doesn't seem to work too well, the finish of the dibond cut is perfect but the ink will chip along the edge of the cut if unlaminated, or if laminated the laminate kind of snags which we need to trim off with a knife by hand and the ink along the cut edges lifts off a little with the laminate.
Does anyone else do it this way with success or are we best just sticking to how we normally do it?
Any reply would be appreciated, thanks, Chris.

What kind of printer do you have. We run a Eco sol uv cured and don't laminate. It cuts great. Clean edges.
