This thread was started with the idea that a newsletter be created for people who can't or won't use electronic means to get information, i.e., they must have paper (see post #1).
However, since there seems to be a lot of interest in an ezine format some of the problems and all of the costs go away. The only hurdles left are articles, editing, and commitment to a schedule.
I would be glad to donate some time to the editing part as needed.

    robotic regards,

    Tom

As part of the "newsletter" we could include plans to making you're own cnc machine etc. Just thinking out loud. I have got some offers for products for review that also could be included. What is nice about the whole idea is when trade show come around, now we really have something that can be handed out that would help more people find the site. Their is a trade show in Auz that would be a great testing ground for this.

    Thank You,
    Paul G

I'll be heading downunder in a month or so and will be based in North Island NZ - there is a trade show in Auckland in the Feb-May timeframe as I recall - something ready by then I'm sure. Plus I'd pass along to my machinists mates -- (why they call 'em engineers I havent figgured yet). Paul, you could drop ship to my forwrding service and then them to me or direct - uh=oh.. thinking to far ahead.

A news letter sounds great!! But why mail it out?? You could save alot of money by emailing it to the members. We have a R/C Airplane club in my area and we use to snail mail out the monthly news letter, now we get it via our email. You can count me in for a membership

One thing I really would like with a monthly (or whatever) newsletter is that there are a lot of very nice ideas written here, and sometimes I loose track were I read a smart thing and it would be super great to have a pdf or similar that's based on what is written lately. For example, as Paul wrote, drawings of stuff and new upcoming ideas of electronics etc...
It reminds me of a magazine I always bought before about DIY-electronics.

    Cheers,
    Sven

Yes the newsletter would be made up from what is written in the forums, a kind of re-cap.

    Thank You,
