Solidworks to Alphacam File Type
Hey Everyone
First time posting on here so apologies if I'm asking about something already covered !
I am looking for the best file type to save a solidworks 3D part so I can then import it into Alphacam. We only have Alphacam Standard so it wont accept a .sldprt file type. It can accept .dxf .dwg. .STL .STEP .IGES RHINO and PDF.
I have been messing around saving it as different file types and the closest one I can get that Alphacam likes is a .IGES file however it brings absolutely everything in and there is a lot of unneccessary geometry lines and splines so I'm wondering if there is an option in settings or something that will let me change the complexity ?
Any info will be greatly appreciated !!
