    Default Looking for G-code software

    Hey,

I am looking for some g-code editing software that will renumber all the tools, H offsets, and D offsets within a program without confusing newly numbered tools quickly and easily. Were in the process of moving our common tools around in the machines and I have to go through and renumber all the tools within all our programs. Does anyone know of any software do this quickly and easily? I'm currently doing this by hand but would like to take the human element out of it and make this process quicker.

Here is an example of what I'd like it to do:

    T1 WILL NOW BE T25
    T2 WILL NOW BE T23

    T6 WILL NOW BE T7
    T7 WILL NOW BE T6
    etc, etc.

The software has to keep track of the renumbering so the numbers T6 and T7 don't become the same tool.
This could happen with lots of our tool numbers.

    Thank you for your time!

I dont know of any editing software that wont do this. This being, change any tool would get lost like T6 to something like T1006. Then change T7 to 6. Then T1006 to 7.

A VB or JS script could do this. But unless you're familiar with them the learning curve would be prohibitive. What about Notepad++ Home and record some macros?

    Notepad, ctrl/H

Yeah, manual - but easy and free. Yes, I use it for that a lot.

    Cheers
