    Angry Convert DXF to PGM

    Hi everyone!

My name is Andreas and I´m from Sweden. I have a problem with my Morbidelli. The machine doesn´t accept DXF-files. An expert told me to convert the DXF-files to PGM-files but I can´t find any software that can do that. How do I convert my DXF-files to PGM-files?? Please help me, I have struggled with this problem for 4 month now... Thanks!

    It's not quite that simple.
A .pgm file is a compiled g-code program. Your Morbidelli should come with a program called WinXISO that will convert a g-code program with an .xxl format into a.pgm file.

You can also create .pgm files with Xilog. I've never tried it, but I think Xilog may also import .dxf files.

Hmm ok.. I will check with the operator and see IF we can convert the file using Xilog Plus. Thank you!

But given what Ger21 said, that may not be the format you are needing.

Normally, you'd use a CAM program to create toolpaths for your .dxf files, and export the g-code with an .xxl extension. The .xxl file is what gets converted to the .pgm file.

Thank you for your answer! I have talked to an expert today and he is using a software called Cam Link... Does anyone know if I can download this soft or any similar software somewhere?

Never heard of it, and Google only found one option, which I don't think will work with a Morbidelli.
    We use AlphaCAM with ours.

I know this is way late but just in case anyone else needed help with this. I use Aspire and it exports as an (.xxl) file. I then open the file in Xilog Plus, once it's open I go to FILE -> SAVE AS. When the box comes up to change the name/where it's saving I rename the .xxl to .pgm. This then correctly saves it as a pgm file with no errors.

Note: you can't just hit save cause it will leave it as an xxl file. Make sure after pressing SAVE AS that the saving file type is selected as .pgm, and also rename to pgm. I believe xilog plus is default to save to this.

    Hi andreas

I am doing this proccess all days in my factory the only that you have to do is to save your dxf file as a 2000 autocad dxf and then in xilog plus you have to open it.

ATTENTION: when you drawing at Autocad you have to draw at the minor y axle.

    For example

    1) you press the rectangle

    2) press (0) tab (0) to go to the center o axles

    3) if you have a work piece of F .E 2500x350 you have to press 2500 at x and -35O AT Y
