    Default New build

Hi I new to this site, planning to start on building my own cnc. Would appreciate any advice or suggestions. 1200mm / 800mm frame size is ideally the size I'm looking at driven by 2 ballscrews on the X and 1 on both the Y and Z axis. What diameter ballscrews would be best choice to drive each axis? Think about using 20mm hwin linear rails, 2 per ballscrew. Would greatly appreciate some feedback from the knowledgeable members. Thanks

I'd say use 20mm ball screws for the X axis; you could go a little thinner for Y and thinner yet for Z. The 20mm rails will work fine; so would 15mm. Have you built the frame yet?
