axyz router problems.

running a axyz cnc router, model 4008, and am currently having issues with my gantry, it keeps skipping and alarming out, and ideas as to what could be the issue? it gets weekly maintenance and grease, i was thinking the gantry guide bearings may be going, not too sure though, any help is appreciated.

Hello,

Couple of questions to diagnose the issue:
-How old is the machine?
-Did the machine hit mechanical stop before this issue?
-Did you try homing the machine? (F12)

Cut a big RECTANGLE and measure diagonally. If the measurements are not equal the machine is out of square.
