Could be the motherboard, or some bios settings. Or even software interfering with Mach3. Not a parallel port issue, but a computer issue. Some computers can run mach3 very well, and some can't run it at all.
I have two XP computers, one for a backup. Both run my CNC machine on the same Mach3 settings. However, the backup computer causes all axis to hammer as they move. Is it possible that the parallel port could be set differently to cause the hammering of the axis? I have checked and rechecked the Mach 3 config settings and they are identical on both computers.
