Default CNC Shop San Diego Area?

I need to find a local CNC shop in the San Diego area. The shop I normally use is booked up for the next few weeks.

I build these azumaya / gazebos with a 'draped' roof,
Gazebo_Kit, Kits for Gazebos - WoodsShop

and all the rafters and roof pieces need to be cut by CNC as each rafter has a different shape depending where it is in the compound curved roof. Most all the pieces are cut from 2x12 clear KD VG western red cedar, 1 5/8" thick. Some of the rafters are 8' 8" long.

I have the dxf files, and I do about one of these a month.

My usual cnc shop has been doing a pretty good job cutting this VG wr cedar, only real problems happen when the wood is still a little wet inside, leaving a fuzzy cut.

But now I might be taking this to a new shop. What would be the best type of 1/2" router bit to use on this (sometimes) splintery cedar?

two, or three flute, downcut, upcut? Brand of router bit??

Maybe call your local tool vendor and ask what shops could do this for you. Should be able to give you information on best tooling for the job also.

Oh we have quite a few tool outfits around here, did you mean a cnc vendor? That's a good idea.

How would I find those? What are some common cnc makers, I bet there are a lot these days??

Well, I thought I could find the tooling guys I knew in IB, but it looks like they are out of business, I haven't talked to them in years. I used to have a lot of customers in SoCal and TJ, but most of them are out of business now. I would be calling someone that sells cutting tools to local shops. They might know someone that has open router time. The only one I know that has open time and a router big enough to handle your job is up here in Oregon, not very practical.

Here is the Onsrud distributor locator. https://www.onsrud.com/help/Distribu...E19EC860E1C1D5

Maybe it's time to think about your own machine.
