It depends what CAD program he has. he may not have one, or one that doesn't accept or import IGES files. I have one guy that does EDM work for me and i have to make part drawings with full dimensions for him every time.

I have a intricate part that I created in Rhino. It's to the exact size/dimensions that I want it. I wanted to receive quotes on what it would cost to machine the part, and a company asked for machine drawings that specify the measurements, finishing etc. I have the IGS or IGES file of the part, can he not use this file to obtain that data? What is the best way to obtain machine drawings? I know Rhino can provide dimensions based on what points of the object I select. Are these sufficient enough for an estimate?
