Hi,

I have a Grizzly G8689 Mill (A small Mill). It is CNC'd and fairly accurately aligned. I have a part I need to make for a face mill. I choose to make the part out of Stainless Steel 304. I'm going to have problems making the part when I slot the stainless. The part is circular and 1inch OD, 0.87in ID and 0.627 inch tall (Z axis). The stock is 2.5 inch OD so the slots will cut off the outside and the inside. What I'm have problems thinking about is how I'm going to remove the chips from the slots (Circular slots). I have been using Cool Tool water based oil but I get shinny surfaces using non-detergent oil.

Any ideas? The chips will be covered with oil or coolant and I don't want to cut with chips in the slot.
