What kind of VFD, and what are your VFD settings?
And what terminals on the VFD are you using?
Hi everyone!
I am trying to control a VFD with an external control. I did the next:
1. I set the VFD with its pannel for controlling it with the external controls. The frequency will be controlled with an analog signal of 0 to 5 volts and a digital signal will start or stop the motor.
2. I did a program in labview to generate the signals that the VFD will receive.
3. I connected my National Instruments device (which generates the signals) to the VFD.
With all that, I was expecting to control the VFD from my computer, but when I run my program in labview nothing happen. I did measurements with a multimeter in the outputs of my National Instrument device and the signal is what I was expecting. So, I don't know what is happening and why my VFD doesn't work properly. The VFD works OK when I use the panel button controls. Maybe I am forgetting something, but I can't figure out what I am forgetting.
I would appreciate so much any help or suggestion. Thanks!

Hi.
I am using an A131 series of theDatasheet.rar Chinese company Ai Saikang Energy Control Technology Co. As attached files, I am sending some information of the datasheet. My settings are:
Pn04 = 2 (command from port)
Pn03 = 3 (frequency from '5V')
For the terminals, please look the file page3.jpg and I am using the next terminals: for controlling the frequency I am using terminal number 3 ('5 V IN'), for controlling the start or stop of the motor I am using the terminals number 8 and 9. Also, I am using the port number 7 GND as the commond ground.
