Hi. Apologies if this has been posted before. My search on the forum did not help much.
I recently purchased a LY6040 CNC machine from China. Why you ask? It seemed the cheapest and easiest way for me to get into the space. Spindle 1.5KW water cooled. ER11 collet size. Reasonably happy so far, although I am certain much still needs to be done to achieve better tramming etc. I use Mach3. I am having trouble doing successful aluminium cuts based on the feeds and speeds given by G-Wizard. After moving the slider to 30%, I still have to dial down feed rate to have any chance of not breaking a cutter or at the very least ruining the stock. So I end up with a feed rate of about 200mm/min vs the 750mm/min G-Wizard suggests. That takes the chipload from 0.02 to 0.005mm/tooth. This is all using a 6mm 3flute Carbide Somta End Mill.
Has anyone setup a similar machine for G-Wizard? Please help.

Regards,
Gavin
