    Default Cutting Silver

    Hello all,

I am new to this site and investigating if it will be worthwhile to go into buying a chinese 4060 machine.
Not even sure if THIS one will be a good choice for smaller detail?
My aim is to create different luxury object and among them will be silver pedants.
I am hoping to cut 1mm silver and would like to know what would be the smallest cutout I could realistically make?
What would be a good place to find these small bits, preferably of a kind that last a little?

    Many thanks....

    Kind regards, Robert

I wouldn't advise trying to use a router for doing this. They are intended for wood and soft materials like that, and won't work well on metals, particularly if high detail is required. Look for a small mill instead; like one of the Sherline mills we sell: Sherline Vertical Milling Machines - Sherline Products
