I plan to build a tall case regulator clock and will be cutting the gears. Does anyone have a source for 0.8 module gear cutters? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
I assume you will be cutting epicyloidal teeth and not involute for the clock. If so, PP Thornton sells them but their in England. I've purchase from them without problem though. They also have pinion cutters and escape cutters which is nice if you don't want to make fly cutters.
You may also want to broach this question on the NAWCC forum at http://mb.nawcc.org/.
Ash and some other may have them but more than likely they will be involute or you will have to have a custom cutter made. Can't hurt to ask them though.
