When I am milling brass, the cut is smooth, but the edges get pushed out past the cut. Its hard to explain really, but if you have a flat peice of metal and mill a square in it, then you run your finger over the outside edge, the metal is sticking up all around the cut.
It wouldn't be a big deal to maybe sand it down, but I don't want to disturb the surface or sratch it trying to take that metal edge the cut created off.
Is there a way to prevent this? How will I be able to remove this easy?
Providing you can clear the chips, a right hand cut, left hand helix will push the cut/chips down. You could also clamp a sacrificial piece on top of the workpiece. The raggedy edge would be on the sacrificial piece, your workpiece will have a fairly clean edge on the cut edge.
