So if I remember correctly, with the 1/8 hss 4 flute endmill I had the rpm at 10000 which is the slowest I can go, 8 to 15 ipm,and a cut depth of .0025 per pass. And used up 4 bits to get that far. I started the outer cut with a 1/4” hss 4 flute endmill at 15 to 20 ipm at a cutting depth of.005 thinking the larger bit would take more heat but it too burnt out. The carbide 2 flute ball bit ended up at 30 to 40 ipm and did great
