npt thread understanding problem

assalamo alaikum i am asif i have a issue regarding understand npt thread standard......what does it means NPT 15/16"(internal thread)..i checked it in machinery hand book...but cant interpret it..please some one define it i want to make this thread ...

NPT = National Pipe Thread. Used for plumbing pipes. I have never heard of a 15/16 NPT, but it may exist.
