hey guys, I am laser cutting fairly small (about 1" - 3" ) complex shapes on a 700 watt fiber laser in 16 gauge polished stainless( mirror finish)...the complexity is similar to large jewelry or like belt buckle size..anyway, I have a customer requesting that the pieces have a smooth rounded edge as opposed to the sharp edges that the laser cutter creates and has provided samples from china that are indeed smooth and slightly rounded.
What post laser cutting process will do this for me while maintaining a mirror finish? All I can think of is vibratory tumbler but that's gotta take forever and require like 5 separate medias...any process you guys suggest where I can get the edges less sharp and even slightly rounded while keeping or re obtaining the mirror finish?
I do not currently tumble so I don't even know what medias to try.
All ideas are appreciated. the shapes are complex and small with both inner and outer laser cut edges so I cant just debur with a wire wheel
