    Default Machining Stainless

I need some advice on machining stainless 304 and how different is 316. I'll admit I know nothing about machining it.
I have a Haas VF3 and all I have ever machined is aluminum.
My questions are, of course about everything.
1 - How many flutes for tooling and what coatings.? I have a good machining calculator so I think I'll be okay on speeds and feeds.
2 - What kind of depth an radial cuts should be taken? (% of tool dia.)
3 - I know work hardening is an issue, so how to prevent that?
4 - How much stock should be left to allow for a finish pass?
5 - And should coolant be used? I use Hangstefer C-500 CF in my machine.
Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

depending on what you are trying to accomplish. indexable tooling seems to work best for me. then finishing with 5 flute endmills
