Your welcome.
I have a few more Inkscape things I would like to do screencast for.
I do all my node edits/design inside Inkscape, after you learn a few shortcuts it really is a strong program.
I have to say that the trick I use the most, is selecting more than 1 object = Ctrl + Shift keys on the keyboard.
For anyone looking to save some cash with software, you can't go wrong with Inkscape!

Hey guys,
I just stumbled across something that will help save those pesky dxf files in Inkscape, you know, when you go to save the dxf with my dxfR12 extension, then all you get is the little black python window & Inkscape hangs.
Here goes, when I have a file that hangs, all I do is resize the drawing (make the drawing smaller), that's it!
To make the drawing smaller:
1) Select the entire drawing
2) Hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard.
3) Grab 1 of the corners, & drag to make smaller
This only needs to be done when you want to save as a dxf file. Just don't get extreme with resizing, or it will make the dxf file lines all very sharp angles.

Switcher,
I had figured that one out as well.
If it helps, I have found that you can do extreme resizing before you do a trace bitmap,
the file saves quicker,
and the lines aren't sharp like they are after you do a trace.
Extreme resizing causes some pretty signifigant errors if done after tracing the image.(double lines open pockets etc.....yuck!!!)
Still can't do thousands of nodes though. (Like that deer sketch...)
It would be cool if it would though.

HI all
Would anyone have aroset in dxf . You know, the ones used in wood working for trim. They use them in a corner instead of a 45 degree angle, like around doors and windows. thanks c.sitas
Thank you Joe. I'll give them a whirl . c.sitas
